About Nuneaton

The birthplace of author George Eliot, the town of Nuneaton in North Warwickshire is home to a population of around 80,000 who enjoy the many facilities the town has to offer.

A programme of recent investment in the town culminated in the opening of the new Rope Walk shopping centre in summer 2005. The centre has given the town an economic boost and has successfully attracted hundreds of new businesses, new shoppers and new residents to the area.

Demand for residential property is being met by both the large corporate and more specialist developers who have built a variety of housing and apartment schemes over the past decade. Recent schemes include Caldecote Hall, a magnificent Victorian mansion, which is being converted into 50 luxurious apartments set in acres of countryside and retaining many original features.

Along with plentiful supplies of new and redeveloped housing, Nuneaton has good stocks of solid and spacious Victorian and post war homes which are ideal for family-living.

Great leisure facilities, many good schools, the George Eliot tourist trail and a reenergised town centre make Nuneaton one of the county’s residential hot spots.
